Who can join Birmingham Newcomers Club?
Any woman who is interested in meeting people and participating in the activities of the club. We are a nonprofit social organization that allows any woman to join, pending the payment of annual membership dues. You do not have to be a resident of Birmingham nor do you have to be new to the area.
What do my Membership Dues cover?
Annual membership is $25.00 and renews on June 1st. Your membership fees allow you to be a full participant in the club. You will receive regular information on upcoming events and activities, and contact information for other members.
Where are the meetings?
Our members are from all around the Greater Birmingham area; hence, activities are held at multiple places and we try to vary neighborhoods to keep the amount of driving fair for everyone. Our monthly luncheons are held at the Hoover Country Club.
I want to help with Birmingham Newcomers Club. How can I find out how to get more involved?
We are always looking for new women to help the organization thrive. To become more involved, contact our membership chair, or any member of the board, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
What is an activity?
Activities are a way for our Members to meet other women with common interests. The club offers many varied activities but is always open to adding new ones, based on members’ interests. Anyone in the club can propose a new activity or volunteer to chair an existing one.
Who can attend the events?
Any woman who is a member of Newcomers can attend events. Guests can attend two luncheons, friendship coffees, and/or activities prior to joining the club.
Is there a limit on how long a member can belong to the Club?
No. Unlike some newcomer’s organizations, Newcomers Club of Birmingham places no limits on length of membership. So, new and old members can meet and interact at all events.
